Goa: Apostolic Nuncio to India Archbishop Leopoldo Girelli & Secretary to His Holiness Pope Francis visited the Governor of Goa today.

They discussed various general issues in the meeting. Later, Vatican Ambassador Archbishop Girelli and Cardinal Filipe Neri expressed their joy and gratitude in the cordial relationship and genuine interest of the Governor of Goa.

Vatican Ambassador thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s gesture in visiting Pope Fransis on an earlier occasion. Pope Francis had appointed Girelli as the Vatican ambassador (apostolic nuncio) to India and Nepal in March 2021.
