Schools in Dublin to be closed; Department of Education announces ahead of Storm Barra

Schools in Dublin where red or orange alerts have been issued for Strom Barrra were told to remain closed on 8th December. The decision was taken following a meeting held by the National Directorate Fire and Emergency Management.


Schools in the remaining part of the country would operate as normal. Storm warnings are gradually expected to ease by today.

Third level facilities in the affected counties we are also advised to remain closed by the Minister of Higher education, Simon Harris.
