On Tuesday, 21st  Nov, Pope Francis released a decree appointing Dr. Prier Fransceco Pinelli as Temporary Administrator for Caritas Internationalis. Dr. Maria Amparo Alonso Escobar and Rev. P Manuel Morujao SJ are also named as to support Dr.Pinelli" for the personal and spiritual accompaniment of the employees".

Caritas Internationalis is a confederation of 162 Catholic relief, development and social service organizations having operations in 200 countreis and other territories world wide.

Cardinal Tagle, President of Caritas Internationalis will assist Dr. Pinelli in the duties entrusted to him. The decree states that all the positions of President, Vice President, General Secretary, Treasurer and Ecclesiastical Assistant "shall cease from their respective offices".

Pope says in the decree, Caritas Internationalis assists him personally in his own ministry to the poorest and most in need, manages humanitarian crisis and joins hands together in spreading charity " in the light of Gospel and the teachings of Catholic Church".
