Multiple Iranian-made drones attack Ukraine's infrastucture

KYIV, Ukraine: Local authorities reported that multiple drones attacked Ukraine's capital early Monday, three days after what they described as one of Russia's largest attacks on Kyiv since the beginning of the war.

According to the Kyiv city administration's Telegram account, more than 20 Iranian-made drones were detected over the capital's airspace, and at least 15 of them were shot down.

It went on to say that a critical infrastructure point had been breached, but provided no further details.

On Telegram, Kyiv region Gov. Oleksii Kuleba stated that some infrastructure facilities, as well as private houses, were damaged, and at least two people were injured.

Explosions were heard in two districts, Shevchenkivskyi and Solomianskyi, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko. He also stated on Telegram that no immediate casualties have been reported and that emergency services are working in the area.

Russia has targeted energy infrastructure, including in Kyiv, as part of an attempt to freeze Ukrainians.

Ukraine's capital was attacked on Friday as part of a massive Russian strike. Across the country, dozens of missiles were launched, causing widespread power outages.
