When faith is challenged and is trampled, CNewsLive steps in to defend the truth, said Metropolitan Archbishop Mar Joseph Pamplany, the Archbishop of the Archeparchy of Tellicherry and Chairman of KCBC Media Commission and Syro-Malabar Media Commission, during the online ‘Global Priests Conference 2023’ held on 9th September.

The event was held to commemorate the third anniversary of the launch of CNewsLive, the completion of Holy Mass offered by 365 priests for the past 365 days for the intentions of CNewsLive activities and to declare the winners of 'Know the Pontiff' quiz program.

On September 8th, 2020, Archbishop Mar Joseph Pamplany blessed the trial run of CNewsLive, and the portal was launched by K.C. John Kallupurackal. The official launch of CNewsLive (Malayalam edition) took place on May 22, 2021. The English portal was launched in November 2023.

CNewsLive was born when a group of expatriates from all over the world came together with one mind to proclaim the truth against the tendency to cover up the truth in the post-truth era. God's unique providence is behind the unprecedented growth of this institution in a short span of time. The institution which started as a voluntary organization is making strong strides in the field of media today said Mar Joseph Pamplany.

The portal ever since her launch days has seen an explosive growth in her reader base. The portal has garnered a substantial readership of more than one and half a million readers across various categories.

Bishop Selvister Ponnumuthan, Bishop of Punalur Diocese congratulated CNewsLive on her commendable and successful journey. Bishop Ponnumuthan also congratulated the initiative taken by CNewsLive to familiarise the common man on the history of the Popes of the Catholic Church through the visual series “The Pontiff”.

For the first time in the history of visual media, CNewsLive has introduced a visual series named “The Pontiff” introducing the Popes from Saint Peter to the current pope. The series in its written form is published on a weekly basis through the portal.

In an era where the media is often accused of concealing the truth, CNewsLive stands out as an organization that unites people from around the world to seek the truth. To strengthen her activities, 365 different bishops, priests have offered Holy Mass for the past 365 days.

CNewsLive during the past three years has made commendable progress in the field of media and has established a healthy interaction with its readers said Rev. Dr. Antony Vadakkekara, PRO Syro-Malabar Church and Secretary of Syro Malabar Media Commission.

The potential of media should be used for the effective evangelization in the Church failing which we will be answerable to God, reminded Dr. Antony Vadakkekara, quoting the Apostolic Exhortation by Saint Paul VI in 1976. This underscores the relevance of media outlets like CNewsLive today.
