New Delhi : Reports have emerged confirming that there will be no more mega star auctions in the IPL. The national media said that the auction ahead of the 2022 season will be the last one. There will be no more mega auctions. The pre-2022 mega auction will take place next month, the report also said.

There will be 10 teams from the next season. With the release of the list of players retaining existing teams, the two new franchises will be able to bring three players to the team before the auction.
