Ireland National Mathruvedi to be inaugurated on December 7th

Dublin: The inauguration of Syro Malabar Catholic Church of Ireland’s Mathruvedi "Salve Regina" will be held on December 7th. Bishop Stephen Chirappanath, Apostolic Visitator of the Syro - Malabar Church for Europe, will formally inaugurate the activities of the Ireland National Mathruvedi at 6:45 pm online through the Zoom platform.

Ireland Syro Malabar National Coordinator Rev. Dr. Clement Padathiparambil will deliver the Benedictory address. Mathruvedi National Director Fr. Jose Bharanikulangara will deliver the introductory speech. Director of International Syro Malabar Mathruvedi Fr. Dr. Wilson Eluvathingal Koonan, President Dr.K. V. Reethamma will welcome the audience. Coordinator of SMCC Apostolic Visitation, Europe, Rev. Fr. Dr. Babu Panatuparambil, Director of Youth Apostolate, Europe Rev. Dr. Binoj Mulavarikkal will also grace the function.

Mathruvedi is an organization of married women in the Syro Malabar Church. The organisation holds various activities with the intention of helping women better understand their role as a wife, a mother and family member thus fine-tuning their lives accordingly. The organisation has its presence all centers of Ireland where the Holy Qurbana is celebrated. This organisation of mothers plays a vital role in bringing about positive changes in the family and the church, functioning under the guidance of the Syro-Malabar Family Apostolate.

Preparations for this conference, which brings together all members of the Mathruvedi Unit in Ireland for the first time, are done by the Ireland National Mathruvedi Adhoc Committee.
