New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India does not lag behind in adopting new technologies. The Prime Minister remarked while inaugurating the Infinity Forum, an online event organized by the International Financial Services Centres Authority.
For the first time in history last year, online transactions in the country took over ATM transactions. Banks that can operate fully digitally without even having a traditional branch office are a reality today. Modi said such banks would soon become a common scenario in the country.
This is the time of transition from financial technology ventures to a financial technology revolution. He added that the revolution should help empower every citizen of the country economically. We believe in sharing our experiences and expertise with others and learning more from them. The Prime Minister reminded that our technological systems will improve the lives of the people of the world.
