Kochi: The police carried out searches in three apartments belonging to Syju Thankachan, who was arrested in connection with the November 1st car crash that killed three persons including two models. It is suspected that several rave parties were organised in these apartments at Kakkanad and nearby Edachira.

The police had seized Syju’s mobile phone as part of the probe into the car crash deaths. Severla videos and photographs of Syju and his friends using drugs were recovered from this phone, where the attendees were also seen as using drugs. Cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985 have been registered against Syju.
