Families should replicate the attitude of a mother; Mar Joseph Kallarangatt

Kakkanad: Mar Joseph Kallarangatt, Chairman, Syro-Malabar Synodal Commission for Family, Laity and Life, opined that exceptional motherhood and strong families are essential for today's society. Under the leadership of the Prolife Apostolate, he was officiating the inauguration of various projects as part of the Preservation of Life and Family Empowerment Ministries. Mar Kallarangatt called on the people to accept the protection of life as the duty of the church and the community. In his message of blessing, Bishop Mar Jose Pulickal, Member of the Commission, said that freedom to be born and to live should be accepted as the main message of the protection of life.

The poster of the campaign 'Motherhood is great, girls are a blessing to our home and the country' was handed over by the Chairman, Mar Joseph Kallarangatt to Sabu Jose, Executive secretary. The aim of this campaign is to create good families and socially cohesive communities by circulating this message in the church and community through special campaigns. The campaign aims to spread the message of protection of life, motherhood, marital sanctity, and the blessings of family life in the face of declining number of girls in most districts of Kerala, said Sabu Jose, Executive Secretary, ProLife.

Lawrence Thaikattil; Syro Malabar Church Laity Commission secretary, Chevalier V C Sebastian; Prolife Apostolate Secretary, Sabu Jose; Laity Forum Secretary, Tony Chittilappilly; Catholic Congress President, Adv. Biju Parayannilam; Mathruvedi President, Dr. K. V. Reethamma; Mathruvedi General Secretary, Rosalie Paul Thattil; Kudumbakoottayma Secretary, Dr. Daison Panengaden and Catholic Congress General Secretary Rajeev Kochuparambil spoke at the function.
