CBSE second term exams to be conducted offline, dates declared for 2022

New Delhi : The second term board examinations of the Central Board of Secondary Education for Class 10 and 12 will begin on April 26, according to a notification issued by Controller of Examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj on Wednesday. The complete date sheet will be released soon, it added.

"The Board after discussion with various stakeholders and taking into consideration the Covid-19 Pandemic situation in the country has decided to conduct the Classes 10th and 12th Board examination offline," said Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, CBSE.

The CBSE will release the date sheet for Class X and XII examination on its official website - www.cbse.nic.in – shortly.

The pattern of the question papers will be the same as that of sample question papers uploaded on the Board's official website.

The students, who have registered for the CBSE Board examination 2022 for classes 10th and 12th, will appear in the examinations from the allotted examination centres as done during the preceding years. Candidates are advised to consider the messages/ information spreading on social media only after verifying the facts available on the CBSE's website.

Earlier, in July 2021, the CBSE had decided to conduct the Board examinations in two terms. i.e., Term I and Term II. The decision was taken due to the uncertainty arising out of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Term I examinations have already been conducted by the Board recently.
