Maintaining peace and stability, the duty of Indian army; MM Naravane

Bangalore: Chief of the Army Staff General MM Naravane said, the Indian Army will always be committed to maintaining peace and stability along the country's borders. The country is ready to face any threat.

He was speaking at a ceremony held in Bengaluru, Karnataka, while presenting the President’s Colours.

This is a time when the Indian Army is facing many challenges. We are always vigilant at the border and fully equipped to face anything. The General also said the army had mobilized modern equipment and weapons.

General Naravane on Tuesday presented the "President's Colours" to four units of the Parachute Regiment. The four battalions are - 11 and 21 Para (Special Forces) battalions along with the 23 and 29 Para units.

The Parachute Regiment is an elite regiment of the Indian Army. The regiment holds an enviable record in pre and post-independence operations.

The Army Chief also congratulated the newly raised units for the outstanding performance within a short period of time and conveyed his best wishes to all ranks serving the Nation with pride.
