Russia under severe Cyber-attack; Putin's office website has been hacked

Moscow: Russia is under severe Cyber-attack, following the ongoing war against Ukraine. Ukrainian media reported that several Russian government websites have been hacked. The Anonymous hackers group, which is known for cyber-attacks around the world for the past two decades, is behind the attack.

Seven websites, including Kremlin, the website of Russian President Vladimir Putin's office, have been completely shut down. The portal of Russia's Defence Ministry is disabled as well. According to reports, the websites of several government departments and the Russian media have been either partially or completely hacked.

‘The Kiev Independent’, quoting the Ukrainian Telecom Agency, tweeted that a number of Russian television channels were hacked and Ukrainian songs broadcast through them.

Meanwhile, Anonymous has tweeted that it is not targeting Russian people. They also added - for Russian people to know that ‘anonymous’ is aware that the Russians are not being comfortable in talking against their dictator.
