Embassy warns Indians to leave Kharkiv soon

Kyiv: The embassy has asked Indians to leave Kharkiv immediately as Russia intensifies its offensive in Ukraine. People are instructed to move safely to the neighboring cities of Pesochin, Babaye and Bezlyudovka.


Russia has been carrying out a major offensive in Kharkiv since yesterday. In the wake of this, the embassy has warned Indian nationals to leave Kharkiv immediately by 18:00 local time, Ukraine.

Russia has intensified its offense in Ukraine for the seventh day since the start of the war. Kherson city is under Russian control and Russia has been carrying out heavy shelling in the region. The Russian army captured the river port and railway station in Kherson. A Russian shelling in Kharkiv has killed at least 21 people and 112 were injured.

“The goal of the enemy is to sow panic and horror, but Kharkiv stands and will stand” Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov told TV channel Ukraina 24 in an interview.
