Cristiano Ronaldo shared an emotional note on social media about the demise of their newborn son. The Manchester United star was expecting twins with partner Georgina Rodriguez but revealed on social media that she had given birth to a girl, while their son died.

‘It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away,’ Ronaldo began his statement. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel. Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness. We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support. We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time. Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you-Ronaldo wrote in social media post. The message was signed off by Ronaldo and his partner Rodriguez.

Several fans stormed the comments sections and even the official handle of Manchester United to support Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez in their tough times.

Ronaldo revealed in a social media post last October that the couple were expecting twins. Ronaldo is father to four other children, Cristiano Jr, Mateo, and daughters Eva and Alana.
