“I believe, that the office of the Archbishop, adorned by great men who has touched the hearts and minds of the faithful, was entrusted to me, is a divine mission”, said Archbishop Mar Joseph Pamplany. He was speaking at the online felicitation ceremony organised by CNewsLive to congratulate him on his recent installation as the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Tellicherry.
The Archbishop continued that he does not take pride, nor will not forget the responsibility and privilege that God has blessed him with. He will continue leading the same life as he did before the installation.
Mar Joseph Pamplany said any faithful can approach him without any prior appointments. He is travelling on a path predetermined by his predecessors.
“It is not only the priests and bishops who are able to bear witness to Christian faith and the Church, but also any person who is faithful in his heart. The life of Blessed Devasahayam is an apt example for this.” while releasing the music videos on Blessed Devasahayam.

A “Good Shepherd” - Justice (Retd.) Kurian Joseph on Mar Joseph Pamplany
The online event was graced by the presence of Justice (Retd.) Kurian Joseph. While congratulating Mar Joseph Pamplany, Justice (Retd.) Kurian requested him to be a like a “Good Shepherd” and a “Father” who is always there to comfort his afflicted flock.
The felicitation event opened with a short prayer by Father Jomy Kamukamattathil.
Mrs. Lizy K. Fernandez, CEO of Global Media Network welcomed the congregation. Presidential address was delivered by the Chairman, Mr. Varughese Thomas.
Further several Global Media Cell (GMC) executives extended their felicitations to the Archbishop.

Mar Joseph Pamplany holds a Master’s in Theology from the prestigious Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium in 2001 and a Licentiate in Scripture in 2006 from the same university.
He currently serves as the Secretary of the Syro-Malabar Synod and the Chairman of the Syro-Malabar and KCBC Media Commission. He has also served as the Secretary of the CBCI Commission for Doctrine; Secretary, CBCI Commission for Interdisciplinary Studies; FABC Theology Commission Member; Member of the Doctrinal Commission of the KCBC and the Syro-Malabar Synod.
Alpha institute of Theology was established under his initiative, with the intention of enlightening the laity in Theology. The Institute has produced many graduates, post graduates and doctors in Theology over the years across several countries.
