Divine Academy celebrates its first anniversary

Mississauga: Divine Academy of Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese celebrated their first anniversary at st. Alphonsa Syro-Malabar Catholic Cathedral in Mississauga, Canada. Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board Director of Education Dr. Marianne Mazzorato Inaugurated the celebration function.

Divine Academy Patron and Bishop of the Syro-Malabar Diocese of Mississauga Mar Jose Kalluvelil presided over the function. Cathedral Vicar Rev.Dr. Jose Alencherry, Diocesan Vicar General Rev. Fr. Pathrose Champakkara, Dufferin Peel catholic School board Trustees Thomas K Thomas and Shawn Xavier, St.Alphonsa Cathedral Trustee Raju Davis and Student Representative Irene Mathew spoke at the gathering.

Divine Academy of Learning Academic Director Joseph Thomas Chalil and Divine Academy of Music Coordinator Mr.Thomas Varghese and Sr.Jeslin CMC were present in the Inaugural function.

Mr.Sabu Papu presented Teachers recognition report for Divine Academy of Learning and Mr.Karthik R presented Teachers recognition report for Divine Academy of Music. Mr.Shinobi Scaria delivered vote of Thanks. Joyce Pothur from the Divine Academy of Learning and Sr. Cincy CHF presented the report for the Divine Academy of Music. Students programmes pursued the inaugural function.

Divine Academy was established in 2021 with the vision of holistic development and empowerment through education. the Divine Academy has two subdivisions, the Divine Academy of Learning and the Divine Academy of Music.

At present 350 students are studying at Divine Academy of Learning and 37 children are studying at the Divine Academy of Music. Divine Academy of Learning includes Grade 1 to Grade 12 students.
