Perth: St. Joseph's Syro Malabar parish in Perth, Australia celebrated two great feasts on Sunday, the feast of Assumption of Mother Mary Assumption & Saint Alphonsa. The celebrations began with the Holy Qurbana, Ladeenju followed by a procession. More than 1500 parishioners participated in the ceremony.

Fr. Sabu Jacob VC presided over the Holy Qurbana. Parish Vicar Fr. Aneesh James delivered the homily. The Ceremonies were led by parish trustees Benny Antony, Thomaskutty Paulus, Roy Joseph and Siby Thomas along with members of the Parish Council and Catechism teachers.

Special stalls were set up by Mathruvedi Perth unit on the occasion of the feasts. A photo booth was also prepared by Syro Malabar Youth Movement. Many people visited the counters to capture the moments of the day.
