Militants attack two churches in Nigeria; more than 80 abducted

Abuja: Christians are again being brutalized by terrorists in Nigeria. Local media reported that more than 80 Christians were abducted when armed militants attacked two churches.

On September 17, militants stormed the Cherubim and Seraphim Church in Suleja, Niger State and kidnapped several worshipers who had gathered for night service. The people including the pastor who was leading the service were abducted.

Days before the attack in Suleja, another Cherubim and Seraphim mosque in Kaduna state, Nigeria, was also attacked during night prayers. Local media reported that at least 57 Christians were abducted from here.

Many of the abductees escaped. The Kaduna State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Rev. John Joseph Hayab said. A ransom of 200 million naira or $465,294 has been demanded.
