Melbourne: The much-awaited breathtaking musical-drama event 'Witness 22' was presented in Australia under the patronage of Melbourne South-East St. Thomas Syro Malabar Parish. The drama characterizing the life story of St. Devasahayam, the first Indian layman and martyr of the Catholic Church gave the viewers a new experience.
This event was organized by SMYM unit of the parish for fundraising towards new church construction. The evening also showcased a musical performance of Songs Of Seraphim, the national band of the Syro-Malabar Eparchy of Melbourne.
The on-stage performance of this grand dramatic and musical extravaganza was before 900 above audience at St. John's Regional College Stadium Dandenong in Victoria. Around 16 talented musicians of the eparchy music band performed in the musical concert. Around 75 talented artists of the parish took part in the spectacular drama.
Fr Sijeesh Pullankunnel, Chancellor of the Syro-Malabar Eparchy of Melbourne was the chief guest of the evening. Priests and guests from other parishes were among the invitees.
The drama was directed by Mr. Cleetus Antony. All viewers wholeheartedly appreciated the dedication and hard work of the direction and team for the huge success of the event, told by Fr Fredy Eluvathingal (Parish Priest), Fr. Joyis Kolamkuzhiyil CMI (Assist Parish priest)
