Hyderabad: A Malayali priest and a seminarian drowned in Telangana yesterday.

Father Tony Simon (33), a teacher at Assisi High School in Chennur, and Br. Bijo (38) was involved in the tragedy, and both are reported dead. The body of Br. Bijo is recovered.

Father Tony Simon is the son of Simon Pulladan, a retired teacher at St. George VHSS, Kaipuzha. The search for Father Tony continues.

The two were swept away while trying to save another priest from drowning who was taking a bath in the Godavari. It is reported that both of them had no swimming skills.
