Dubai – The Syro-Malabar Community in Dubai is celebrating the SM Day’22 on 27th November, Sunday.
The event will begin with concelebrated Holy Qurbana at 2pm in St. Mary’s Church, Dubai followed by public meeting at 3.30 PM and various cultural programs.
H.B. Cardinal Mar George Alencherry will bless and speak to the community in Dubai with a video message.
H.G Mar Joseph Perumthottam, Metropolitan Archbishop of Archeparchy of Changanachery, the chief guest and main celebrant of the Holy Qurbana will inaugurate the programmes and deliver the keynote address.
His Excellency Bishop Paolo Martinelli OFM Cap., Apostolic Vicar of the Vicariate Apostolic of Southern Arabia will deliver the benedictory message. The Presidential address will be given by Manoj Thomas, President SMC Dubai.
Fr. Lennie J. A. Connully, OFM Cap., Parish priest of St Marys Church, Dubai; Fr. Varghese Kozhippadan, OFM Cap., Spiritual director of Malayalam Community; Vipin Varghese, Benny Mathew will deliver felicitations.
Mathew Antony will welcome the audience and Benny Thomas Pullattu will render the Vote of Thanks.

The main highlight of SM Day’22 is the musical drama “Here I Am” presented by the members of the Syro-Malabar community - Dubai, Catechism students and parents. More than 100 Catechism students are taking part in the musical drama.
The event is being celebrated offline after a gap of two years pursuing the Covid pandemic.
