Omicron's sub-variant hasn't increased hospitalisations in India; remain alert says Mandaviya, the Union Health Minister

New Delhi : Following the rising Covid cases in India, Union health minister Dr.Mansukh Mandaviya on Monday said that Omicron's sub-variant which is circulating in the country has not led to the increase in hospitalisations and there is no need to worry. The Minister said that there is a need to remain cautious. "We need to remain alert but there is no need to worry. Presently, the sub-variant of Omicron which is circulating in the country hasn't increased hospitalisations," Mandaviya said.

It is important to take necessary precautions to prevent the spread of the virus, such as wearing masks, practicing good hygiene, and getting vaccinated.
