Rajasthan's First Vande Bharat Express flagged off by PM Modi virtually

Jaipur - The Vande Bharat Express in Rajasthan had its first train flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi through a video conference on Wednesday. This high-speed train will run between Delhi Cantt and Jaipur, with three stoppages at Alwar, Jaipur, and Gurgaon. The regular service for all passengers will start on April 13th. The train is expected to cover a distance of approximately 5 hours and 15 minutes between Delhi Cantt and Ajmer.

The inaugural run of the Jaipur-Delhi Vande Bharat Express featured a blue and white colored train departing from Jaipur railway station. It will make stops at 12 stations including Gandhinagar Jaipur, Bassi, Dausa, Bandikui, Rajgarh, Alwar, Khairthal, Rewari, Pataudi Road, Garhi Harsaru Junction, Gurgaon, and Delhi Cantonment. The train will halt for two minutes at each station, and is expected to arrive at its destination in five hours.

Over 500 students were selected to travel for free on the inaugural run of the train, after participating in educational competitions such as quizzes, drawing, painting, and essays related to the Vande Bharat Express. This initiative is a great way to promote awareness among young people about the benefits of modern transportation infrastructure and technology.
