Yangwang U9, the electric car that can dance and bounce!!

Beijing - BYD, a Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, has recently showcased its new electric car, the Yangwang U9, which features a unique body control system called DiSus. Unlike traditional cars that move only forward and backward, the Yangwang U9 can bounce from side to side and up and down.

In a demonstration video posted on Twitter, the car can be seen dancing and bobbing as it drives across the stage, culminating in the car squatting down and bursting upward, hopping a few inches off the ground. While these bouncing capabilities may appear to be party tricks, BYD claims that the DiSus system enhances safety and agility, particularly during high-speed cornering, and minimizes the risk of rollovers.

This innovative technology is reminiscent of a feature in some Mercedes SUVs that allows the vehicle to bounce vigorously up and down, designed to help get the vehicle unstuck in off-road situations. Meanwhile, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has made some bold claims about the capabilities of its future Roadster supercar, including the ability to hover short distances using cold-air thrusters. However, the Roadster is still far from being produced.

BYD is a Chinese electric vehicle company that is quickly gaining ground on Tesla, the global leader in EV sales. Its new Yangwang luxury brand aims to compete with high-end manufacturers and includes two models: the U9 and a Land Rover-style SUV called the U8. The U8, which is expected to cost around $150,000, features four independent motors that can spin in opposite directions from each other, allowing the car to spin in place. Overall, BYD's innovative approach to electric vehicle design and technology demonstrates the company's commitment to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the automotive industry.
