Cochin - 'We are living in an era where people assume that tarnishing one's image is the secret to successful journalism', said P.S. Sreedharan Pillai, Honourable Governor of Goa while inuagrating Cnewslive Award Night 2023, chaired by H.G Mar Joseph Pamplany, Archbishop of Thalassery Archdiocese.
The Governor recalled journalists do not realise that such scandulous statements and news tarnish the image of the person or persons as well as their family.

The Award Night was organised as part of the second anniversary celebrations of Cnewslive of which the chief guest was the Governor was held at Azeezia Convention Centre in Cochin on 23rd April.
Cnewslive which was launched just two years ago, has an established monthly readership of one crore across 120 countries. The news portal is published in both English and Malayalam.
Apart from the news portal, the YouTube channel of Cnewslive airs exclusive talks, special interviews, docu series and special events on weekly basis.

The Award Night was organised to honour prominent personalities in the fields of Music, Media, Film and Socio-Philathropical sphere.
The function began with the Indian National Anthem.
Mrs Lizy K Fernandez, CEO of CNewsLive welcomed the Chief Guest, and the dignitaries.
'We are living at a time when Media, the fourth pillar of democracy becomes the single pillar', said Mar Joseph Pamplany during the Presidential address of the Award Night 2023.

Smt Daya Bai an untiring social Activist was honoured for her Outstanding Contribution as Social Activist
Shri Bhadran Mattel, the renowned Film Firector was honored for his Outstanding Contribution as Malayalam Film Director.
Special awards were also given to other prominent personalities.
Shri Johny Antony was awarded for his contribution to Film Industry, Shri P U Thomas (Navajeevan Trust) was awarded for his Excellence in Philanthropical Work, Shri Kuriachan Theruvamkunnel for his Excellence in Migrant Farming, Master Peter Titus an upcoming artist was awarded for Innovative Filmmaking and Shri Binoy Sebastian was awarded for his Professional Excellence.
Mr Jo Kavalam, the Chief Editor of CNewsLive malaylam editing rendered the Vote of thanks.
The official award function concluded with the National Anthem.
Berny John, famous malayalam music director unveiled the Souvenir of the Second Anniversary celebrations.
Various cultural programs organised and directed by Jinto John of Geetham Media and Sudeep Kumar, famous playback singer, proceeded the official award function.
Sophia Sudeep and team rendered mesmerising dance performances.
