Melbourne:The Victorian Parliament in Australia warmly received Cardinal Mar George Alencherry, the Major Archbishop of the Syro-Malabar Church, with a splendid reception. The distinguished spiritual leader of the Eastern Church was honored by the legislators, led by Matt Fregan, the Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly. This event exemplified the state's deep regard and dedication to the Syro-Malabar community, whose significant contributions are integral to Australia's progress.

Well-known politician and Member of Parliament for the South Eastern Metropolitan Region, Lee Tarlamis OAM, along with Pauline Richards MP, the Member for Cranbourne, Speaker Edwards, and Meng Heang Tak MP, the Member for Clarinda, extended their congratulations to Cardinal George Alencherry.
