Melbourne - The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) has revealed plans to pay tribute to renowned Indian filmmaker Karan Johar as he celebrates 25 years of impactful contributions to the industry. Set to take place from August 11 to 20, this year's IFFM will feature a series of events and exclusive screenings to showcase Karan's remarkable journey in Indian cinema.
Karan Johar made his directorial debut in 1998 with the blockbuster and beloved film "Kuch Kuch Hota Hain." Since then, he has directed several other successful films, including "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham...," "Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna," "My Name Is Khan," and "Student of the Year," among others. Additionally, Karan has been an influential producer through his esteemed banner, Dharma Productions.
Expressing his gratitude, Karan shared, "I am deeply honored to be a part of the 14th Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. This year holds a special significance for me as I celebrate 25 years as a filmmaker, and I can't think of a better platform than this festival to commemorate this milestone in my career.
