Oshawa City, Canada : A three-day spiritual retreat, Abhishekagni 2023, led by renowned and anointed preacher from Kerala, Rev. Father Xavier Khan Vattayil and his team, took place in Oshawa City from the 14th to the 16th of July, 2023. The event saw an overwhelming response from attendees across Canada and the United States, with participants eagerly seeking the mighty anointing of the Holy Spirit.
The key message delivered by Rev. Father Xavier Khan Vattayil during the retreat was "World Evangelization and Renewal." The anointed preacher inspired the attendees to spread the word of God and embrace spiritual renewal to strengthen their relationships with the God and prepare themselves for the second coming of Christ. Anointed ministers Br. Thanjan (Anointing Fire Catholic Ministry, India) from India and Br. Jose (Anointing Fire Catholic Ministry, UK) from the UK graced the gathering with their presence.
The visionary behind Abhishekagni 2023 was none other than Bishop Mar Jose Kalluvellil, Bishop of Eparchy of Mississauga whose brainchild materialized into a spiritually enriching retreat. The gathering was also a precursor to the Eparchial Assembly, scheduled for November, adding even greater significance to the occasion.
The retreat's convener, Rev. Fr. Tenson Paul, poured his heart and soul into organizing the event, ensuring its success and spiritual impact. Joint conveners, Jomon Joseph, and Johnson Irimpan, and General Coordinator Sijo Cherian lend their unwavering support, contributing to the retreat's smooth functioning.
One of the retreat's standout features was the involvement of all priests and nuns from the Eparchy of Mississauga, who fervently worked towards its success. The dedication and tireless efforts of the volunteers from the Eparchy played a crucial role in creating a spiritually charged atmosphere.
The retreat for teens and youth was organized by the Anointing Fire Catholic Ministry (AFCM) USA, under the leadership of Ainish Phillip.
The retreat served as a remarkable platform for youth and teens to rekindle the Holy Spirits, received during confirmation and draw closer to the Almighty
In addition to the impactful youth and teen retreat led by Ainish Phillip, the Abhishekagni 2023 event also catered to the spiritual needs of the youngest members of the community. A separate children's retreat was thoughtfully organized and conducted under the guidance of Rev. Fr. Joyal Joseph.
Throughout the retreat, attendees witnessed numerous wonders and miracles, leaving their hearts filled with a passionate zeal for proclaiming the Word of God. The collective spiritual experience brought a profound sense of unity and faith among the faithful, fostering an atmosphere of love and compassion.
As the curtains closed on Abhishekagni 2023, the hearts of the attendees were filled with gratitude towards the almighty for bestowing on them the grace to attend the retreat. The spiritual fervor ignited during the retreat will continue burning brightly in the hearts of the faithful, inspiring them to be torchbearers of God's message of love, peace, and compassion.
