Delhi's Pragati Maidan Set to Open Today, Anticipating Traffic Congestion

New Delhi - The Pragati Maidan Complex, sprawling over approximately 123 acres, has undergone a recent transformation by the ITPO (India Trade Promotion Organisation) and is now prepared to host India's G20 Leaders meetings.

As the country's largest Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) destination, the complex stands on par with renowned venues like the Hannover Exhibition Centre in Germany and the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai.

The inauguration of this impressive complex will take place today, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi officiating the event.

What's Inside the Complex?

At the heart of the Pragati Maidan Complex stands a magnificent convention center, designed to be the focal point of the area. Its stunning architectural structure makes it an ideal venue for hosting large international exhibitions, trade fairs, conventions, conferences, and other prestigious events. The center boasts multiple meeting rooms, lounges, auditoriums, an amphitheater, and a business center, catering to a diverse range of event requirements.

With a combined capacity to accommodate up to seven thousand people in the multi-purpose and plenary halls, this venue surpasses even Australia's iconic Sydney Opera House in seating capacity. This world-class facility is a long-awaited addition to the national capital, Delhi, and positions the city as a global hub for hosting grand events, reaffirming its status on the international stage.
