NIA conducts raids in Jammu's Bathindi; 2 overground workers of LeT apprehended in Sopore

Jammu: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is currently engaged in conducting raids within the Bathindi region of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. Meanwhile, the Sopore Police in Jammu and Kashmir have apprehended two individuals identified as OGWS (Over Ground Workers) affiliated with the proscribed Pakistan-based terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). Subsequent to their apprehension, the law enforcement recovered cartridges and grenades from the possession of these terror associates.

Confirming this development, the news agency ANI conveyed, "Sopore Police arrested two LeT (Lashkar-e-Taiba) Over Ground Workers. They were found with 8 rounds of pistols and grenades. An FIR has been filed, and the investigation is in progress."

The Sopore Police shared that an FIR has been lodged concerning these arrests, and a thorough investigation is currently underway.
