Washington - The Biden administration, led by President Joe Biden, has implemented sanctions on four Israeli individuals, accusing them of involvement in settler violence in the West Bank.
President Biden issued an executive order aimed at punishing Israeli settlers who engage in aggressive actions in the occupied West Bank. This order establishes a framework for imposing financial sanctions and visa restrictions on individuals responsible for attacking or intimidating Palestinians or seizing their property.
The State Department's sanctions include freezing the US assets of the four individuals and generally prohibiting Americans from engaging in transactions with them. These measures underscore growing US dissatisfaction with the policies of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and a call for Israel to take more decisive action to curb violence against Palestinians in the West Bank.
