Winners of the Season 2, Papal quiz competition, ‘Know the Pontiff’ conducted by CNewsLive were honoured last week by their respective parishes.
The quiz which was conducted in both Malayalam and English is based on Papal History published vide CNewsLive portal and YouTube channel.
Winners received Certificates from their respective Parish priests during the Holy Mass last Sunday and Saturday.
The Quiz competition was held in two categories, Category A for those aged till 18 years and Category A for those above 18. The first season of the quiz was held in August 2023 and the second in January 2024.
Jays Joseph, second prize winner from Category A, of St. Mary's Forane Church, Muttom, Cherthala was handed over the certificate by the Parish Priest, Rev. Dr. Anto Cheranthuruthy.
Jino George, third prize winner from Category B, of Infant Jesus Church, Kondapur, Hyderabad, was handed over the certificate by the Parish Priest, Fr. Soji.
Aiebel Diju of St. Francis Xavier Catholic church, Whanagarei, New Zealand, received the consolation certificate from the Parish Priest, Fr. Sijo John.
The quiz received an overwhelming response with enthusiastic participants both Catechism teachers and students alike, earnestly studying the history of the Pontiff of the Catholic church.
The winners also received cash prizes. Certificates of participation was issued to those who participated in the competition.
