KCYM Mananthavady Diocese and KCBC Anti-Alcohol Committee Launch Anti-Drug Campaign

Mananthavady: The KCYM Mananthavady Diocese, in collaboration with the KCBC Anti-Alcohol Committee, kicked off a campaign to promote anti-drug awareness across various locations in Wayanad. This initial phase of the campaign visited towns such as Mananthavady, Padinjarathara, Kavumandam, Kalpetta, Kakkavyal, Meenangadi, Bathery, Irulam, Pulpally, Nadvayal, Panamaram, and Fourth Mile to highlight the harmful effects of drug addiction on families.

The campaign was inaugurated by Mananthavady Diocese Bishop Mar Jose Porunnedam, who handed over the campaign flag to KCYM Mananthavady Diocese President Jishin Mundakkathadathil and KCBC Anti-Alcohol Committee President Raju Valiyara. Fr. Paul Mundolical, Vicar General of Mananthavady Diocese, delivered greetings, while various officials from the Excise Department, members of the Mananthavady Diocese, and former KCYM members shared messages at multiple venues.

A flash mob led by KCYM Mananthavady Region President Albin Kuzhinjalilcarrot also spread the anti-drug message. Key leaders including KCYM Diocesan Director Fr. Santo Ambalathara, KCBC Anti-Alcohol Committee Diocesan Director Fr. Sunny Madathil, and others actively participated, along with numerous volunteers, priests, and sisters from various communities.
