Upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Phones in India: OnePlus 13, iQOO 13, Realme GT 7 Pro, and Others

Qualcomm's newest Snapdragon 8 Elite smartphones have officially launched in China, and these flagship devices are gearing up for an arrival in the Indian market. Realme has announced that the GT 7 Pro will be the first smartphone in India to feature the 8 Elite chip, while iQOO has also confirmed the upcoming release of the iQOO 13 in the country. Here’s a preview of all the Snapdragon 8 Elite smartphones expected to launch soon in India.

Snapdragon 8 Elite powered phones in India:
Realme GT 7 Pro: Though Realme hasn’t specified an exact launch date for the GT 7 Pro, it's anticipated to debut around the 2nd or 3rd week of November. According to rumors, the GT 7 Pro might feature a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display with a stunning peak brightness of 6,000 nits, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Alongside the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, the GT 7 Pro is expected to offer up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and as much as 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It’s set to pack a massive 6,500mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. The device will likely launch with Android 15 and Realme UI 6.0.

iQOO 13: The iQOO 13 sports a 6.82-inch 2K+ LTPO AMOLED display by BOE, boasting an impressive peak brightness of 4,500 nits, a smooth 144Hz variable refresh rate, and high-frequency 2592Hz dimming. On the camera side, the iQOO 13 is equipped with a powerful triple-lens rear setup, featuring a 50MP Sony IMX921 main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP 3x telephoto lens. For selfies and video calls, it includes a 32MP front camera.Under the hood, the device packs a robust 6,150mAh battery, with 120W fast-charging support. It also replaces the optical fingerprint sensor with an advanced ultrasonic sensor for faster and more secure unlocking.

OnePlus 13: The OnePlus 13 boasts a 6.82-inch BOE X2 2K+ AMOLED display, reaching up to 4,500 nits of brightness, with 2160Hz PWM dimming. It’s also the first smartphone display globally to achieve a DisplayMate A++ rating.

In terms of cameras, the OnePlus 13 features a triple-lens rear setup: a Sony LYT 808 main sensor, a 50MP Sony LYT600 telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultra-wide lens. Selfies and video calls are handled by a 32MP Sony IMX612 front camera.

The device includes a powerful 6,000mAh battery, supporting 100W SuperVOOC fast charging, along with 50W wireless charging and magnetic charging compatibility. With an IP68 and IP69 rating, the phone is water and dust resistant. It also incorporates an upgraded in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, replacing the optical sensor from the OnePlus 12.

While the exact launch timing for the OnePlus 13 is yet to be confirmed, it could debut in January like last year or perhaps arrive earlier in November or December.

Asus ROG Phone 9 series: The ROG Phone 9 is expected to feature a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display, boasting up to 2,500 nits peak brightness and shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, the ROG Phone 9 may offer up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. In terms of cameras, it’s rumored to include a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700 main sensor, a 50MP macro lens, and a 13MP ultra-wide lens on the back. For selfies and video calls, it’s expected to have a 32MP front-facing camera.

The phone is likely to come with a 5,800mAh battery supporting 65W fast charging. It is also expected to include a range of AI-enhanced features, aligning with other flagship releases this year.

While the ROG Phone 9 series will make its global debut on November 19, the launch date for India remains unconfirmed.

Xiaomi 15 series: The Xiaomi 15 comes equipped with a 6.36-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED display, reaching a peak brightness of 3,200 nits and protected by Xiaomi's Ceramic Glass 2.0. It runs on HyperOS 2.0, built on Android 15, and offers up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM alongside 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

For photography, the Xiaomi 15 includes a 50MP main camera with Hyper OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens. The front houses a 32MP camera capable of recording 4K videos at 60fps.

With IP68 certification and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, it’s designed to rival other top-tier devices. A robust 5,400mAh battery powers the device, supporting 90W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

While the Xiaomi 15 series has already launched in China, its Indian release date has yet to be confirmed.
