A Decade of Faithful Evangelization: The Story of the Trinity House Café

For the past ten years, Soren and Ever Johnson have dedicated their lives to spreading the message of Jesus Christ through their unique ministry, the *Trinity House Café* in Leesburg, Virginia. Marking its 10th anniversary last month, this faith-driven café has become a hub of evangelization, hospitality, and community for those seeking more than just coffee, tea, and snacks.

The idea for the *Trinity House Café Fellowship* was inspired during Ever Johnson’s work with George Weigel, renowned Catholic author and biographer of Saint John Paul II. Reflecting on the many who asked how they could engage in Saint John Paul II’s mission of evangelization, Ever and Soren discerned a call to create a tangible space for faith, community, and culture.

Their first step was founding the John Paul II Fellowship, which organized Masses, seminars, and cultural events. Yet, the Johnsons felt called to establish a public space where the message of the Gospel could reach even more people in everyday life. After years of fundraising and searching for the perfect location, their vision became reality on April 27, 2014—the day Saint John Paul II was canonized.

The café, housed in a historic building from the 1700s, serves as a sanctuary where faith meets daily life. Central to its mission is the symbol of the Trinity above the fireplace, embodying the café’s guiding principle: *“Heaven in Your Home.”* Through the atmosphere, art, and personal encounters, the café invites patrons into a deeper relationship with God.

Over the last decade, the Johnsons’ ministry has evolved, encouraging families to transform their homes into spaces of faith and cultural renewal. “Marriage is not just a private matter,” they say, “but a sacrament that radiates communion and family.” Their own journey, which began with their wedding in Poland 24 years ago, is a testament to their dedication to family, faith, and service.

As parents of five, the Johnsons have worked tirelessly to inspire others, and their efforts have borne fruit. They will soon release a book, *Heaven in Your Home Letters and Guide: Nurturing Your Holy Family*, sharing practical wisdom from their decade-long mission of evangelization.

The Trinity House Café stands as a testament to the Johnsons' unwavering commitment to making faith accessible and vibrant, one cup of coffee—and one heart—at a time.
