Washington: The Papal Foundation, a Catholic organization based in the United States dedicated to supporting global Church initiatives, has contributed $800,000 this year. The foundation announced its support for 110 priests, seminarians, religious, and lay individuals pursuing studies at 14 pontifical universities in Rome, with scholarships benefiting recipients in 42 countries through the St. John Paul II Scholarship Program.
Since its establishment, the Papal Foundation has awarded approximately $14 million in scholarships. Committed to addressing the needs of the Church as requested by the Holy Father, the organization plays a vital role in fostering education and spiritual growth worldwide.
Executive Director Dave Savage has previously explained that the foundation annually receives a list of project requests directly from the Pope, emphasizing that the priorities are determined solely by the Holy Father. The foundation primarily funds initiatives such as the construction and renovation of schools, churches, seminaries, hospitals, pastoral centers, and orphanages.
