Kyiv: Ukraine's military reported on Sunday that its air defences shot down 52 of the 103 Russian drones launched overnight.
According to a Telegram update, 44 drones were lost track of, while one left Ukrainian airspace and flew into Belarus. No details were provided regarding the remaining drones.
The military confirmed that several regions, including Kherson, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Zhytomyr, and Kyiv, had seen damage to private businesses and apartment buildings from the Russian assault. Authorities noted that, as of now, there have been no reported casualties.
In the Kyiv region, local officials reported that debris from one of the intercepted drones ignited a fire after landing on the roof of a multi-storey building.
