Hundreds of Believers Join Eucharistic Procession in Perth

To honour the Feast of St Brigid and celebrate the Jubilee of Hope, a Eucharistic Procession was held in Perth on February 1, 2025, alongside similar events in Derry, Ireland, Medjugorje, Rome, and various locations worldwide. The procession began at St. Brigid’s Northbridge around 3 pm and concluded at St. Mary’s Cathedral. Participants prayed for governments to recognize Jesus as Christ the King, to end abortion, euthanasia, and war, and to heal families from sin, division, addiction, and suicide. They also sought the triumph of Mary’s immaculate heart, the dismantling of global elite agendas and healthcare tyranny, the peace of God’s order, and a new Pentecost of Hope through the Holy Spirit during this Jubilee.

A significant crowd of devoted faithful gathered in the heart of Perth on Saturday, led by Rev. Fr. Douglas William Harris, to partake in the solemn Eucharistic procession. The event attracted hundreds of worshippers who demonstrated their faith, unity, and devotion.

The procession moved through the city streets, stopping at the busy town centre, Forrest Chase, and featured prayers, hymns, and the reverent carrying of the Eucharist. Participants joined in prayers, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere that resonated through the community
A group of Catholics from the Eastern Rite Syro-Malabar Church also took part, arriving by bus arranged by the Catholic Congress, further emphasising the diverse representation within the gathering.
