Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskiy denounced Russia's relentless aerial assault, labeling it "aerial terror" after a record-breaking 267 drones descended upon Ukraine overnight. This brazen attack, occurring on the cusp of the third anniversary of the war's escalation, demonstrated Russia's unyielding pursuit of exhaustion against Ukraine's air defenses.

According to Ukraine's air force, a stalwart defense downed 138 drones, while an additional 119 vanished from radar due to electronic warfare interference. Furthermore, Russia launched three ballistic missiles, resulting in damage across five Ukrainian regions.

Over the past week, Russia has unleashed a barrage of nearly 1,150 attack drones, over 1,400 guided aerial bombs, and 35 missiles, pushing Ukraine's defenses to the brink. President Zelenskiy expressed gratitude to those manning Ukraine's air defenses and urged unity among international allies to secure a lasting and just peace.

"The collective strength of Europe, America, and all peace-seeking nations is crucial in achieving this goal," Zelenskiy emphasized, as Ukraine and its European allies navigate tensions sparked by recent developments, including U.S. President Donald Trump's verbal criticisms of Zelenskiy and a U.S.-Russia meeting in Riyadh that excluded Ukraine.
