Pope Francis to Greet Crowd Outside Gemelli Hospital on Sunday

Pope Francis is set to make a public appearance outside Rome’s Gemelli Hospital on Sunday, March 23, shortly after 12 p.m., according to a statement from the Holy See Press Office. Pope is expected to greet the gathered faithful and impart his blessing.

The statement also confirmed that the text of the Angelus will be shared as it has been in recent weeks. However, no update has been provided regarding his possible discharge from the hospital. This will mark Pope’s first public appearance since he was hospitalized on February 14.

Recent health updates have indicated continued improvements in Pope’s respiratory and motor functions. Despite his hospitalization, he has remained actively engaged in his duties, sending messages to pilgrim groups, concelebrating Mass, and even recording a voice message on March 6 to express gratitude for the support and prayers he has received.

Vatican Media will livestream Pope’s greeting and blessing on its official YouTube channel.
