Proclaiming the Risen Christ: Bishop Mar Joseph Srampikkal’s Easter Reflection

Wishing you all the radiant joy, peace, and hope of the Resurrection—our Church’s greatest celebration. Jesus Christ, our Lord and God, who conquered death through His own death, stands as the living Head of the Church.

It is in union with Him that we’ve embraced the Gospel and entered into new life through baptism. Without the Resurrection, the Church’s proclamation would be hollow, and our faith without foundation (cf. 1 Cor. 15:14). At the heart of all evangelization lies one message: the Crucified and Risen Lord—Mar Sliwa.

Through baptism, we become members of Christ’s body, holding fast to the truth that He who rose will never die again (Romans 6:9). God’s plan of salvation aims to draw humanity into communion with His divine and eternal love—agape.

When the faithful are liberated from sin and live in service to God, they walk a path of sanctification that leads to eternal life (Romans 6:22). The mission of the Risen Christ—who has triumphed over sin, death, the devil, and the world—is to rescue every soul from darkness and pour out His blessing (Acts 3:28). May every member of the Church be filled with the holiness, splendor, joy, and peace of the Risen Lord through His grace and blessing.
