Needing just a draw to seal the championship, the Reds instead delivered a dominant 5-1 thrashing of Tottenham, reclaiming the title and drawing level with Manchester United’s record of 20 top-flight league titles.

This marks Liverpool's first Premier League triumph since 2020. Remarkably, they wrapped up the title race with four matches still to be played, amassing 82 points from 34 games — a run that includes 25 wins, seven draws, and only two defeats. Arsenal, trailing behind in second place, remain 15 points adrift with the same number of matches played.

Tottenham momentarily stunned Liverpool by striking first, with Dominic Solanke finding the net in the 12th minute. However, Liverpool quickly responded, with Luis Díaz leveling the score just four minutes later.

The floodgates then opened: Alexis Mac Allister fired Liverpool ahead in the 24th minute, followed by Cody Gakpo’s strike in the 34th. Mohamed Salah, the star of Liverpool's campaign and the league’s top scorer, added another in the 63rd minute. Tottenham’s Destiny Udogie compounded his side’s woes by inadvertently turning the ball into his own net in the 69th minute.
