In a fresh security incident that underscores rising cross-border friction, Indian forces apprehended a Pakistani citizen near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district. The intrusion comes barely a day after the Border Security Force (BSF) detained a Pakistan Ranger near the Indo-Pak border in Rajasthan.

The back-to-back arrests occur against the backdrop of heightened strain in bilateral relations, worsened by the recent Pahalgam terror attack.
