The administration emphasized that there is no immediate threat, and the public is advised to stay calm and cooperate with the authorities.

The siren activation is part of a series of security measures implemented across northern India, including blackouts in various districts such as Amritsar, Jalandhar, Gurdaspur, and Chandigarh. Earlier this week, India launched "Operation Sindoor," a series of targeted strikes on terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, in retaliation for a deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, that resulted in 26 fatalities. In response, Pakistan has reportedly attempted to strike Indian military bases near the International Border in Jammu, Pathankot, and Udhampur. The Indian Armed Forces have swiftly neutralized these threats, ensuring no casualties.
