Operation Sindoor Achieves Objectives; IAF Urges Public to Avoid Rumors

New Delhi: The Indian Air Force has confirmed the success of Operation Sindoor, stating that all assigned objectives were met with precision and utmost professionalism. While the broader mission remains in progress, a comprehensive update will be provided at a later stage.

In an official statement, the IAF emphasized that the operation was conducted with strategic discretion and aligned fully with national interests. The force also urged citizens and media outlets to avoid circulating unverified information and to refrain from speculation that could compromise operational integrity.

This development comes a day after India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire, effective from 5 PM on May 10. Both nations announced a halt to all military activities across land, sea, and air. The ceasefire declaration followed behind-the-scenes diplomatic engagements, reportedly involving Saudi Arabia and the United States.

Despite the agreement, sporadic incidents of shelling and drone activity were reported from border regions well into the night. The Indian government, however, reiterated that the ceasefire decision was made independently, without external coercion. Tensions gradually subsided in the border areas as night fell.
