Kochi: The Kerala Catholic Bishops' Council (KCBC) has conveyed heartfelt condolences following the devastating plane crash in Ahmedabad. In an official statement, KCBC expressed profound grief over the loss of lives and extended solidarity with the bereaved families, the injured, and the nation as a whole.
“We join in the sorrow of those mourning their loved ones and stand in prayerful support with everyone affected by this immense tragedy,” the statement read. KCBC also emphasized the moral responsibility to uplift and spiritually support the countless individuals engaged in rescue and relief efforts during this critical time.
Offering prayers for the eternal rest of the departed souls, KCBC acknowledged the tireless work of the central and state authorities, emergency responders, and government agencies. “We extend our appreciation and cooperation to all who are striving selflessly on the ground,” said Fr. Thomas Tharayil, KCBC Deputy Secretary General and Spokesperson.
“May such horrific disasters never recur,” he added, calling on the faithful to unite in prayer for healing, strength, and the safety of all.
