Once upon a time in a cozy little forest, there lived a curious squirrel named Milo. Unlike the other squirrels who were happy collecting nuts and chasing their tails, Milo loved to dream about the stars.
Every night, he would sit on the tallest branch of his favorite tree and look up at the moon. "I wonder what's up there," he would whisper to himself. "Is the moon made of cheese? Do owls have tea parties on it?"
One morning, after a windy storm, Milo found something strange on the ground a glowing silver feather! It shimmered in the sunlight and sparkled like stardust.
"It must be a Moon Feather!" Milo gasped. He had heard stories from Grandma Squirrel about magical feathers that fall from the sky once in a hundred years.
Clutching the feather gently, Milo ran to Grandma’s tree.
“Oh my,” Grandma said with wide eyes. “This feather can take you on one wishful journey but only if your heart is brave and your wish is true.”
Milo didn’t even hesitate. He held the feather high and shouted, “I wish to visit the moon!”
WHOOSH!
In a swirl of glitter and wind, Milo soared into the sky. Higher and higher he flew, past the clouds, past the birds, past the blinking satellites until he landed softly on the moon.
To his surprise, it wasn’t made of cheese. It was soft like snow and sparkled like sugar. And waiting for him was a group of giggling moon mice wearing little boots and twinkly hats.
“Welcome, Earth Squirrel!” they cheered. “You’re just in time for the Moon Dance!”
Milo danced with the moon mice, bounced in low gravity, and tasted starberry pie. He even helped light the moon’s lanterns so it could shine brightly over the Earth.
When it was time to go, the moon mice gave Milo a tiny bell. “Whenever you want to remember your journey, ring this under the moonlight,” they said.
Milo blinked and suddenly, he was back on his tree branch, feather still glowing in his paw.
From that day on, Milo still collected nuts and chased his tail. But every now and then, under the silver glow of the moon, he would ring his little bell and smile, remembering the dance among the stars.
