Mananthavady: A new chapter of hope and healing began as the Navajeevana Early Intervention Centre was blessed by Fr. Jose Murickan O. Praem, Prelate of the Canonry of Mananthavady, and officially inaugurated by Mr. A.K.M. Ashraf, MLA of Manjeshwar Constituency. The occasion marked a pivotal step forward in empowering children with special needs through early and focused care.
The newly established Sensory Lab, a critical component of therapeutic development, was inaugurated by Mr. Somasekhara, President of Enmakaje Grama Panchayat. Further advancing the Centre’s capabilities, a Media Room designed for student engagement and digital learning was launched by Sr. Anjaly FCC, Provincial Superior of St. Joseph Province, Thalassery.
For nearly a decade, the Navajeevana Special School, under the stewardship of the Norbertine Fathers of Mananthavady, has served as a haven for differently-abled children, especially those impacted by Endosulfan exposure. The new Early Intervention Centre enriches this legacy by offering vital, age-appropriate developmental support at a crucial stage in life.
