Kairos Media Clinches CMA Honors for Third Consecutive Year

Kakkanad: Kairos Global, the international Catholic magazine tailored for youth and young families under the banner of the Jesus Youth Movement, has once again been recognized for journalistic excellence by the Catholic Media Association (CMA) in the United States. Marking a remarkable hat-trick, this is the third year in a row that Kairos has secured accolades since joining the CMA in 2022.

Kairos Global was awarded First Place in the "Magazine of the Year: Prayer/Spiritual Magazine" category one of the most prestigious honors of the annual CMA Awards. The magazine also garnered several other distinctions:

• Second Place – Best Cover: Large
• Third Place – Best Explanatory Writing on Marriage
• Third Place – Best Original Poem
• Special Mentions – for Best Essay, Best Feature Article, and Best Review

The Catholic Media Association, based in the U.S., honors Catholic journalists and publications that exemplify excellence in communication while serving the mission of the Church. Winning seven awards this year, Kairos Global continues to stand out as a faith-rooted media platform committed to creativity, depth, and spiritual nourishment.

Founded in 2018 as the international edition of the Malayalam-language Kairos (which began in 1997), Kairos Global has rapidly grown in influence, particularly among youth audiences. The media ministry expanded with the launch of Kairos Buds for children in 2021 and maintains a strong digital presence through platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.

To date, Kairos Media has published 30 books, including noted titles like Abba Hridayam and The Art of Listening to Young People by internationally acclaimed author Nil Lozano.

The operations are managed from its headquarters in Kakkanad by a dedicated 14-member team that includes Adv. Johnson Jose (Chief Editor, Kairos Malayalam), Nobin Jose (Chief Editor, Kairos Buds, Singapore), Dr. Chakochan Njavalli (Director, Kairos Media & Chief Editor, Kairos Global), and Guinness Francis (Managing Trustee).

Reflecting on the honor, the leadership team credited the continued success to divine providence, the steadfast prayers, and generous support from the global Jesus Youth community and thousands of lay collaborators.

Major Archbishop Mar Raphael Thattil, International Ecclesiastical Advisor to Jesus Youth, congratulated the team, expressing his prayerful wishes: “May Kairos carry forward this victorious mission with renewed commitment and grace.”
